What is your main selection criteria?

Our key selection criteria is the team quality. We mainly assess the founders’ ability to deliver. “The business idea” is of secondary importance since quality teams can usually create many good ideas.

Is my company too late (too early) to apply?

We prefer working with the start ups at very early stages. Nevertheless, we will accept any company we feel would benefit from the acceleration in growth and development the Enkuba Program provides.

Do we need a business plan to apply?

No, this is not required. However, a proper business plan accelerates the process.

Where is Enkuba located and who is behind this?

The Enkuba team is located in İstanbul and Amsterdam. Enkuba is founded by professionals having vast experience in technology as well as finance sector. Now, we are truly interested in investing and developing start ups. You can read more about us on The Team page.

What does the Enkuba Program consist of?

The Enkuba Program focuses on all the aspects of company’s development such as creating a business plan, devising product development and marketing strategies, process management. Founders are introduced into legal/ accounting/ marketing / technology specialists and mentors. The start up company and its founders are prepared for investors meetings/presentations. What do you expect in return for your investment?

We typically seek circa 10-15% minority shareholding in the joint venture against the startup acceleration/mentoring support and the seed capital provided into the new company. For detailed information please see partnership structure page.

What if my company doesn’t ultimately succeed?

We recognize unfortunately that not all startup companies succeed. We believe that the contacts and experience that you gain during Enkuba Program will help you in your next startup.

Do I have to be full time?

We understand that you may be working on other things right now. We want the founders selected to give priority to their start up company, nothing else. In other words we expect you to work on your business full time.
